The 3rd Kite Fest Guajira was a total success! 🌊🪁
From June 24 to 30, 2025, the beaches of Mayapo, La Guajira, were filled with wind, color, and joy during the third edition of the Kite Fest Guajira.
This year, more than 110 riders from Colombia, Venezuela, Germany, and France came together for a week of high-level competitions, sports clinics, Wayuu culture, music, wellness, and environmental activities.
An event that had it all
🏆 Spectacular competitions in kitesurfing, wingfoil, twintip, slalom, big air, and downwind.
🧘 Daily yoga and pilates balance sessions by certified instructors, improving flexibility, strength, and focus.
🎯 International participation: riders from Colombia, Venezuela, Germany, and France.
🏃 16 km race from Mayapo to El Pájaro with more than 150 runners.
🛍️ Handicraft and gastronomy fair featuring local entrepreneurs.
♻️ Beach cleanup campaign with over 500 kg of waste collected.
🎶 Concerts and cultural performances showcasing the richness of Wayuu traditions.
A positive impact on La Guajira
- Tourism: 100% hotel occupancy in Mayapo and surrounding areas.
- Local economy: More than 40 entrepreneurs and suppliers benefited.
- Sports: Local youth joined free kitesurf and wingfoil clinics.
